Superheroes

Thought you might like this...the ultimate superhero cape! Started playing Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask today, which got me thinking about when this low-budget film will be released, the trailer looks classic. On the subject of masks, here's a cool blog about faces. Off to see Gondry's new film, Be Kind Rewind tonight, here is an interview he did talking about The Science of Sleep.

Star Wars

I've got to say I'm a big Star Wars fan, so this video of a three-year old explaining the plot to Episode IV is absolutely classic. However, Star Wars is no laughing matter, as these guys will tell you...! Watch the videos and be very afraid.

Lego MP3 Player

T
his MP3 player looks AMAZING. It holds up to 2GB on microSD cards and has a pretty poor battery life of six hours but still.

Espresso

Had a lot of coffee last week...hmmm mmmm. Wouldn't mind having this print in my kitchen when I'm earning a bit of dollar. I highly recommend having a shot of espresso just before your head hits the pillow. You'll end up having dreams which appear to be in fast forward! Also went to see There Will Be Blood this week; one of the best films I've ever seen. Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood composed the soundtrack, download Henry Plainview if you like scary music. I think that if Kurbirck was still around, he'd have commissioned him to do the soundtrack for his next film.

Scarlett Johansson...and Tom Waits?!

It's been announced that Scarlett Johansson will be covering one of my favourite artists, Tom Waits, on her first ever album. Entitled Anywhere I Lay My Head, the entire album will feature 11 Tom Waits covers and is set to be released on 20th May 2008. The album will have an indie-ish theme, with Nick Zimmer of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs on the old guitar. No doubt she will be gracing all the major festivals this summer. I wonder if her meeting with Mr. Waits went anything like this...

François?

So, Wales have beaten Italy...now England just have to beat France tonight, so Wales have a chance of winning the Six Nations! Having said that, I can't claim to dislike the French, especially after watching La Haine a couple of weeks ago, with my man Leo Stampino. It's an awesome film that I highly recommend if you haven't seen it...here's a clip featuring prominent French DJ Cut Killer, mixing KRS-1's Sound of Da Police with Edith Piaf's "Je ne regrette rien", which you may have noticed in a recent SpecSavers ad.

Blu-Ray Wins

So it turns out that Blu-Ray has won the format war to replace DVDs as being the way we watch films. Could this also mean that PS3 has won the console war? Putting a blu-ray drive into every console was a smart move. Although if Apple are to be believed, we won't even need discs anymore! My guess is that as broadband gets faster and faster, people won't bother buying physical films anymore...in the same way they don't buy CDs like they used to. Also think it would be pretty cool to watch a film...in your arm! By the way, also worth checking out this, in relation to the picture.

Barber Shop

My housemate Nick has shown me a way to get your haircut without having to leave your house...a bonus for all students who are a tad scared of the local. I think it's been on the web for ages, but it's still amazing.

Radiohead...remixes.

I must say I am partial to the odd remix. Couple this with my adoration for Radiohead and you can imagine my reaction to this. Highlights of this 8-track package have to be Weird Fishez, Faustz and Chali 2na's apperance on Reckonerz. I'm off to see Radiohead with the Greene crew on the 29th June...can't wait. On the subject of the best band from Oxford, here is an optical illusion that is actually worth checking out, set to Weird Fishes.

Good Morning

I thought it would be fun to start blogging after seeing the good work done by Team Fox member Ben, and Mr. DJ ELVIS. So this blog will basically be a collection of things I find on the internet which you might enjoy, music that I like and links to tiptop website. and rants.
