Blinkx
With the BBC/ITV/Channel 4 deal to create one super-platform for catching up with TV falling through this week, it looks like the floodgates are open for services such as blinkx. Check out the video below to find out a bit more about and head here to use the service for yourself. The Dark Side of...Primrose Hill
Sky Arts did a terrific job of re-creating one of my favourite album covers on Primrose Hill this week. The PR stunt was in aid of the screening of the Floyd's 1994 performance at Earls Court.
Apple finally brings out a new mouse...the Magic Mouse.
Anyway, the most exciting product update for me has to be the Magic Mouse. The scrolling 'nipple' on my Mighty Mouse has been playing up for months now, so I think I'll definitely invest in the new mouse, which utilises Apple's patented multitouch technology. Check out the video of it below.
NB. Talking of multitouch, Nokia seem to feel that Apple have been poaching their IP; read up here.

Solar System Map With A Twist
National Geographic recently produced this map, which attempts to document the myriad of journeys made into space by man. It is fairly difficult to view at this resolution, so click here to view it properly.

The Desk Fan Without Blades by Dyson
Billionaire Sir James Dyson, who famously overhauled the vacuum cleaner and more recently the hand dryer, has now turned his hand at revolutionising...desk fans. I wish he'd pick something more exciting or breathtaking; a car without wheels or a time travel machine. In the mean time, we are left to marvel at how turns often accepted engineering on its head, whilst giving it an aesthetic appeal in line with a Smash advert. Some critics have argued that his latest release is attempting to solve a problem that doesn't really exist, however Dyson point out that desktop fans are historically noisy and prone to attract children's curious digits...not entirely convinced that's worth shelling out £200 for, but both if you have cash to burn the 10 inch and 12 inch model are available next January. Everything In It's Right Place as remixed by Gigamesh
Thanks to Martin for showing me this absolutely AMAZING remix of one of my favourite songs ever...the drop is just mind-blowing. The video isn't half bad either, if you ignore the promotional logo that hovers about like an irritating submarine. DOWNLOAD HERE.

NEWSFLASH: An alarm clock cures RSI.
This ingenious little alarm clock eliminates the tedious task of lifting ones head of the pillow to check the time! Why someone hasn't thought of it already is beyond me. However, you could always tilt a normal alarm clock on its side and avoid shelling out $129. BUT THINK OF THE AESTHETIC APPEAL!
Nike Hamburger by Olle Hemmendorff
I love this Nike burger, a perfect representation of American culture! Check the original post here.
Valhalla by Shin Murayama
These awesome mask designs were made by Shin Murayama...they remind me of pretending to be a monster. You can buy them at I Don't Like Mondays and the proceeds go to an AIDS charity.King of the Rodeo...covered by The Bamboos
Don't know how I let this banging track pass me by...I heard it on the Tru Thoughts covers compliation, which you can check out here.
Word Clock
Fallen behind with my blog updating due to a busy weekend! This clock featured on Make. The picture is fairly self-explanatory...another item to add to the wishlist!

Alice Russell is a cracking nu-soul singer signed to Tru Thoughts. She worked extensively with Quantic Soul Orchestra and her 4th album, Pot of Gold, is released on the 2nd October...this Friday. Also keep an eye out for an accompanying remix album, which is released on the 5th.
Forza 3 - 23rd October
I can't wait for Forza to come out...I've read the graphics are amazing. Ten times the amount of polygons in Forza 2, which is an awesome game in its own right. Sony need to get their act together and release Gran Turismo!
