Light Graffiti Cars by Mark Brown

Everyone has seen their own stunning examples of light photography. However, photographer Mark Brown has taken 'a bit of fun' to a whole new level by creating these stunning silhouettes of the worlds super cars.

Fot I Hose by Casiokids

I really wish there were more amazing remixes of this song...although to be fair, you could argue it doesn't need any...this beat has been in my head ALL DAY! Along with the the theme for Midnight Cowboy, which is a classic film that you should definitely get around to watching if you haven't already. I'm off to eat some steak and chips and laugh my socks off at Gavin and Stacey (fingers crossed they don't screw up that 'difficult third series'.

Thanks to Leo for this...sampled by Blackalicious for Blazing Arrow. I want to get hold of that cartoon!

Cult Music mixed by James Pants

I've been subscribing to the Stones Throw podcasts for just over a year now and I suggest you do the same. They often feature Stones Throw artists (obviously) and always open your eyes to some music that you wish you'd heard back in the day. However, I was particularly drawn to the above mix and not just because of the amazingly trippy promo picture. The mix is half an hour or so of some of the strangest rhythms, sounds, samples and bleeps that you've heard in a long while.

PS. Check out the photographers Flickr here.

Paper Shoes by David Brownings

These paper shoes were designed by David Brownings, an artist in Bristol. If it isn't a Nike viral marketing campaign, then I'm a baked potato.

Space Chair by Toshiba

This fantastic ad by Grey Advertising for Toshiba sees a £2500 chair being fired up to space, being filmed all the while on a Toshiba HD video camera. Stunning.

The Great War in Colour

Yesterday was Remembrance Day. It was also the first Rememberance Day to pass without the presence of a WW1 veteran at the Centopath. It is then perhaps all the more poignant that these images should be unearthed this week. They are thought to have been taken by a French photographer that was a friend of the famous Lumiere Brothers. The stark and graphic imagery in these pictures, depicting scenes of both horror and camaraderie, are testimony to the importance of reflecting each year on the sacrifices made by our armed forces.

Moneygami by Won Park

This nifty little grizzly was made from nothing more than two crisp $2 bills. It is the product of the latest craze to hit the web...moneygami. The trend was pioneered by oragami expert, Won Park. I have to say I am also rather partial to his British counterpart; this bulldog made from a £10 note.

The Last Supper By Da Vinci...in Rubix Cubes!

There was a video documenting this staggering effort, however it's been taken off YouTube for copyright infringement?! It was made with 4000 rubix cubes and it took the ambidextrous genius of five people two whole months to complete. Now let's seem them get it back to a blank canvas...

Get Started by Strong Arm Steady Feat. Talib Kweli - Produced by Madlib

From the forthcoming album, Stoney Jackson, on Stones Throw.

Oragami Tea Packaging

Although not one to subscribe to this 'nu-tea' penchant for quaffing green tea and the like, you have to admire these oragami teabags, designed by Natalia Ponomareva.

Reflection Eternal by Nujabes

You can't beat a bit of trip-hop chillout to ease the commute, so I instantly 'liked' this video when I saw it on Nujabes MySpace. Nujabes is a Japanese hip-hop DJ who I vaguely remember hearing about a few years ago. Upon further research, which was unsuprisingly hindered by my inability to read Japanese, it turns out that CL Smooth featured on his last album; check it out below.

109 Lighting Books by Airan Kang

In a world where books are increasingly being surpassed by other forms of entertainment, I really like this piece, which to me attempts to convey, in a striking visual manner, the enduring relevance of books and their indisputable power as the original and best entertainment medium. Check the video below to see it in action.

Stamp Albums

Looks like Royal Mail are getting one thing right at the moment. This collection of stamps is due to be released next year; by which time they will hopefully still have some staff working for them! The collection includes 10 of Britains most iconic album covers, a handful of which I've posted below.

Big Head Mode by Eric Testroete

Anyone who has a fan of Goldeneye 007 on the N64 will love this design by Eric Testroete. I was somewhat saddened that this year I didn't dress up for Halloween for the first time in as long as I can remember; a landmark exacerbated by the fact that I am no longer a student. Perhaps I would've made more of an effort had I known how to make this mask. It is made up of 370 individual paper triangles, which give it even more of a computer generated aesthetic.
