Google Vision, New 360 Menu and Family Guy Mario
Above is a conceptual design for a device which can literally recognise anything you point it at. Using geotagging and OLED technology, the device will be able to tell you about anything you show it, including wikipedia articles, prices, etc...AMAZING. Link here.Below is a clip from the new Xbox 360 menu, looks remarkably similar to the Wii.
And here we have a Japanese guy who has hacked a Wiimote and an iMac to simulate himself running in Tokyo...
Try to run on the google street view like a jogging game of wii fit from katsuma on Vimeo.
Also check out this Super Mario clip by the guy who created Family Guy (Thanks to Jason).

iPod Touch
The iPod Touch has also been updated, with a new steel body and has a built in Nike+ sensor. It also includes a bunch of new games and Genius playlist creation. This is basically like Pandora, which unfortunately you can no longer use in the UK anyway. It will also be included in iTunes 8, which you can download today.
iPod Nano
Steve Jobs today announced the 4th generation iPod Nano, which comes in the biggest range of colours yet. It also now comes in 8GB and 16GB varieties and includes an accelerometer. This also means that to turn shuffle on, you simply need to shake the iPod.It's the thinnest iPod ever and has a new UI which will be implemented across the range in an upcoming update. The Classic has also been updated, with the standard being a 120GB. The 160 GB has been discontinued.

Hello again...

Severe lack of blogging due to being without internet in our otherwise banging new house in Cardiff. This also meant I've only just been able to experience Google Chrome, which I'm mightly impressed with. The interface is clean and it seems to have taken the best bits from the other browsers and meshed them together brilliantly. A Mac and Linux version will be out by November.
You can check here for some tips and pointers if any were needed, about using the new browser. I also liked the anatomy of a logo shown above...it also reminds me of the HAL 9000 computer form 2001.
I bought a great album last week called Droppin' Science. It features all the best Blue Note samples used in cult hiphop tracks. You can listen to the whole album for free here, it's a nice site. One of my favs is the Brother Jack McDuff track, Oblighetto, check it out below.
Finally, looks like new iPod Nanos are on the way this Tuesday, along with other Apple updates. One of the rumours floating about is that iTunes 8 will be released, which will include much needed updates for the visualisations. Check the video out below to see Magnetosphere, which was previously avaliable as a plugin.
